A few weeks ago, it appeared in the news, Scarborough
& North East Healthcare NHS Trust as stated it is £11.7m in
debt and a 3 year financial plan as been put in place to repay this, also
there will be NO investment made in Bridlington & District Hospital
for the next 3 years, this week we read, the future of Bridlington hospital
is secure and a 5 year plan is in place, baffling to say the least? We
now ask the Trust which statement is true? What is the true future? Lets
not play games we are talking about health issues here! These question
will be put to the Trust in due course, watch this space, we need answers
there are too many conflicting stories.
A further meeting with The Rt. Hon. Greg Knight MP and The Save Bridlington
Hospital Campaign is planned for October 2003, the last such meeting was
September 19th 2003 Friday held at the Conservative Club Tennyson Avenue
Bridlington, the meeting was very good and after Greg Knight as had a
meeting with Trust Officials shortly from Scarborough Healthcare NHS Trust
we will be finding out how the future is best planned for all.
