COMMENTS: MICK PILLING Chairman: Save/Support Bridlington Hospital Campaign

Here once again for the people of Bridlington & District the goal-posts are been moved once more, yet another kick in the teeth from our Health Service.

How can someone on the other end of a phone tell you what your requirements are; you need an Ambulance; tough....unless you meet certain criteria it seem you wont get one... As previously stated by myself...the removal of the Rapid Response Car...the reduction to 2 Ambulances; these are all cost saving exercise's by the Chief Executive: Jayne Barnes of TENYAS.

More and more Patients been taking to Scarborough Hospital? by an over stretched Ambulance Service? We are getting even nearer to taking yourself to hospital in an emergency; in your own car....I am not saying that the Ambulance Service do-not receive unnecessary time-wasting calls for an Ambulance; but lets not forget who foots the bill for this service....YES...the public reflected in there taxes.

If these new measures are going to be implemented from the 1st October 2004, let the people of Bridlington & district have there say...it's there money which runs these vital services. The Health Service is at an all time low....Pen-pushers, White-collar workers who come up with out of date practices....who gobble up a large proportion of Health services finance.

Mick Pilling Fighting for the future of our Health service.
