The Save/Support Bridlington Hospital Campaigners have arranged a "PEACEFULL PROTEST" @ BRIDLINGTON & DISTRICT HOSPITAL against the rip off; extortionate car-park-charges introduced on Friday 14th January 2005.
The price increase from 50p per hour to £2.00 an hour parking charge is nothing more than a rip off by the Scarborough & North East Yorkshire Healthcare NHS Trust to pay the debts!
This extortionate charging will not be tolerated. We demand a fairer NHS!!!
Meeting point: Bridlington Hospital (Main Entrance) on the 21st January 2005 which is a Friday... Time 11.00AM until approx 12.00noon, the Police have been informed! A log has been filed dated 14/01/05, log number 199.
Present will be: Yorkshire Television (Calendar) - possibly BBC Look-North, Yorkshire Coast Radio & BBC Radio Humberside have been notified, are to attend Bridlington Free Press & The Hull Daily Mail (reporters & photographers notified), Bridlington Councillors, Bridlington Mayor Councillor Richard Harrap.
Please note:
- This is a Peaceful Protest against Car-Park Charges; no disturbance will be tolerated.
- NO! Shouting!
- Please keep to the footpaths;
- Keep all Exits Clear
- Do-not obstruct Emergency Vehicles i.e. Ambulances.
- Keep off the grassed & shrubbery areas
- Conduct yourself in an orderly manner at all times - remember this is a hospital, we do-not want to upset patients!
