Save Bridlington Hospital

Mick Pilling Chairman Save/Support Bridlington Hospital Campaign, would now like to move to Stage 2 to see a fairer NHS.

I would now like to call for a Public Meeting to be held @ Bridlington Town Hall, so that the people of Bridlington along with Councillors can put a series of questions to: SCARBOROUGH & NORTH EAST YORKSHIRE HEALTHCARE NHS TRUSTS Chief Executive Ms Alison Guy & her colleague about Car-Parking-Charges.

The Trust must be accountable for there actions, the Trust promised at all previous meetings they would inform the people of Bridlington about any such changes that would affect the day to day running of our hospital, this as not been adhered too, the Trust have gone back on there word, no notification was given about the extortionate hike in car-park-charges. The 300% increase; is not in-line with inflation; it is a price-hike which is nothing more than extortion; the NHS is FREE at the point of entry?

A far better Charging System would be as follows:
£0.50p for the 1st hour
£1.00 for the 2nd hour
£2.00 for 4 hour

This would be reasonable and in line with patient treatments and visiting patients. The increase in car-park-charging; what are you getting for your money?

SECURITY MEN SACKED - DUTIES PUT ONTO PORTERS? COST SAVING EXCERCISE!
DAY-CARE CENTRE; TO CLOSE PEOPLE POWER PREVENTED THIS - NOW! LAWRENCE SUITE OPENED
LIFT TO BE SERVICED - STILL WAITING OVER 12 MONTHS?
99% OF AMBULANCES ARE TAKING PATIENTS TO SCARBOROUGH HOSPITAL; SO FIGURES AT BRIDLINGTON HOSPITAL CAN BE PLAYED DOWN AT M.I.U.

Car-Park-Charges are nothing more than a license to print Money! This money is then used to pay-off the Trusts Debts we believe; it is certainly not used for what it as been stated it would be used for: All these facilities were budgeted for before Car-Park-Charges were introduced..Fact!

What you money should be used for?

CCTV Camera operations, to monitor the comings & going-in's @ Bridlington Hospital? Camera's believed to be not working with a full complement? Proof needed these Camera's are working correctly for the safety of all!
No Security men on duty? This job as now been given to Porters?...Are they Fully Trained in Security Measures?
Gritting at the Hospital does not always take place? Car-Parks are like a skating ring from time to time?
Signs in & around the hospital should be repaired and up-graded?
Gardening, Shrubbery areas and litter collecting?
