NHS Risks Financial Disaster???

HOSPITALS face financial chaos which will hit patients care, a damning report warns today. Spending watchdogs raised the alarm about crisis in the NHS despite funding (Doubling) to £70billion a year. They fear finance chiefs in dozens of hospitals will fail to cope with sweeping NHS reforms. The include payment by results, patient choice and new staff contracts. But more hospitals are overspending and the NHS as a whole has now slipped into the RED! CLOSED

The National Audit Office & Audit Commission are so concerned they published a rare joint report. They fear health chiefs will fail to cope with the changes - leading to operations being cancelled and wards closed? NAO chief Sir John Bourn said: "We will have five years of just managing to keep the show on the road before the whole carriage goes towards the ditch."

Liberal Democrat health spokesman Steve Webb said: "Letting hospitals go bust is no way to run the NHS." The report also warned medical blunders alone cost the taxpayer up to £12billion.

The Present 3rd Term Government (Labour) should step in now to prevent any such Financial Chaos and hardship to patients; Funding from Central Government should always be made available...it is Taxpayers money paid into the NHS reflected in our taxes which make our NHS free at point of entry.

We believe that the Rt. Hon. Tony Blair (PM) should do more for his own Country first!  Then look after others; everyone at some time in there life will need the NHS.....so come-on Labour; Lets have an NHS to be Proud of. Our Governments Top Priority Should be the Failing NHS!!!

What is happening in the East Riding of Yorkshire at this moment in time is: Health Trusts in DEBT....Primary Care Trusts in DEBT...Patients Suffering...Bed-blocking; Nurses Leaving the Service? Doctors Leaving the Service? MSRA Super-bug getting hold? and much, much more.

Hospitals under re-view;  closures are not ruled out!
