Save Bridlington Hospital

We, as a Campaign Group will be holding a PEACEFUL PROTEST out-side Bridlington Hospital next month, JULY 2005 unless the Maternity Unit re-opens as promised. Our intention are to highlight the persistent problems which have now occurred for the last 3yrs+.

We will be inviting: The Media/Press; Television and Radio Stations...this is long over due and has been going on now for the last 3 years+++

The date for the above PEACEFUL PROTEST is to take place on: 18th July 2005 @ 12.00noon.

Large-turn-out-is-expected!!! Flyers; posters and details will be published in due course! The Media/Press; Television and Radio Stations....Notified!...Police to be informed in due course. On the agenda:

When is the Birthing Pool to be fitted and completed @ Bridlington?
Why are so many expectant Mums taken to Scarborough in the 21st Century? If Bridlington is running @ 24/7
Why are all 1st time-births taken to Scarborough? When second birth in Bridlington? Why not up-grade Bridlington M.Unit NOW!
Why is Bridlington Hospitals Maternity Unit not up-graded? what is the problem ...?
Why do expectant Mums have to sign forms...They will not turn-up un-unannounced?
Whilst the Ambulance Service is stretched to the limit and working flat out; what contingency plans are in place for expectant Mums?
Bridlington Maternity Unit open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with midwives on call; is not a Full service...as we know it..ask Mums
Freedom of Choice for Expectant Mums should be adhered to; have your child in your own Town
What about Terrified Expectant Mums who are rushed to Scarborough; giving birth in an Ambulance?
We fully believe; it is time for change....up-grade Bridlington Maternity Unit NOW! Stop putting money before LIVES
