All stops will be pulled out!

BAD-NEWS FOR BRIDLINGTON MINOR INJURIES UNIT TO CLOSE FOR THE 3rd TIME IN AS MANY YEARS??

ONCE AGAIN BRIDLINGTON HOSPITAL SUFFERS CUT-BACKS From Mick Pilling. (Chairman) Save/Support Bridlington Hospital Campaign Group

A meeting was held on 11th August 2006 by Scarborough NHS Trust and a decision was passed....To Close Bridlington Hospital Minor Injuries Unit?

No consultation held with the public or towns people of Bridlington, again!  This was promised at past meetings that full consultation would be given, the Trust have failed yet again !!

As from Monday 4th September 2006 - between the hours: 9.00pm / 9.00am next day the Minor Injuries Unit @ Bridlington Hospital will close in the evenings.

The reason? Shortage of Staff? Shortage of Money?

Who knows; this will be the 3rd time in as many years!

The Trust are a Law unto themselves, the busiest time of the year for the town with holiday makers and the worst time as Summer runs out and winter draws near, dark nights and bad coastal roads have to be dealt with. A shortage of Ambulances, Doctors out of hours changed and an NHS in Crisis!

Looks like the people of Bridlington must demonstrate unity once more and hold Peaceful Protests at the Hospital with Media, Press Radio Stations & Television present in support.

We have already two Minor Injuries Units Closed on this coast: Withernsea & Hornsea Hospitals It is nothing more than Ludicrous, Despicable and Unspeakable to close our Minor Injuries Unit once more @ Bridlington!!!
