Health Care Services & Care In the Community??

Last Night; I spoke with Iain McInnes the Chief Executive of Scarborough NHS Healthcare Trust for nearly 2hrs and we had some interesting discussions around Care in the Hospitals and Care In the Community

These are the conversations I recall with my discussions with Iain McInnes.

The Primary Health Care Trust & Clair Woods wants Scarborough NHS Healthcare Trust to admit fewer elderly patients into Hospital so they can be cared for at home; however the knock on effect is Social Services of the East Riding is cutting all care packages and next month are due to consider halting Band  C of Elderley Care which means many elderly people will be placed at more severe risk no doubt resulting in them becoming hospital patients putting further strain on our NHS & Ambulance service; however the true cost of implementing these schemes is that in real terms lives of elderly will be lost.

It is clear neither the PCT or Social Services or Scarborough Health Trusts wishes to meet the needs of elderly care or indeed care services for the disabled and vulnerable members of our community and the back door policies are to ensure these groups of people find early graves.

The public are being conned by deciet deception and cover ups to prevent the public from understanding the severe implications of these organisations intentions to make the ill and those needing support the victims of callous cut backs and disregard for the health and welfare of these groups of people.

It will now mean a silent death for many which is clearly appalling; in Bridlington and surrounding areas 75% are elderly; the town of Bridlington encurages more people to move near to the coast; there are 44,000 residents in the town.

Budgets mean the aged and those needing care will be hit hard already Social Services are depraving proper care to its residents by slashing the current care packages these vulnerable people currently recieve to survive in the community.

Furthermore Social Services are not paying carers in the community proper wages or rewards meaning care staff leave then the council crib we do not have carers or cannot provide the care to our residents as we do not have the staff  but they cannot realise they got rid of them by miserly increases and yes care staff do have to live  just like the rest of us but for the fatcats on £100000 a year they could not care less for if it does not reside on there doorstops it does not matter.

Senior officers can have good pay rises senior management get good pay increases  but the workers who make these good organsations get nothing.

Its time every MP; Councillor; Campaign Group & Individual Groups supported the ill the vulnerable and disabled and supported the health services for our people stand up and be counted now or the likely hood is someone you love or know will die through neglect of these organsations

Drafted by: GBaverstock;   Trying to support services of health and care to our people who need it; stand up against the wilful abuse of our community's members
