| Agenda: Crowds, Groups, Public & Unions to gather @ Bridlington Business Centre betweeen 9am & 10am Protest-Rally-March will set-off approx 10.00am & proceed on Bessingby Way, T/L @ roundabout and proceed up Bessingby Road to the Bridlington Hospital Half up the Bessingby Road, the 14 members of the Children of the Mist Pipe-Band will then lead the Marchers the rest of the way into the Hospital where members of the public who cannot March will be waiting for the marches.... We will then have members of the Save Bridlington Hospital Campaign Action Group , PAGER, the Public & Unions speaking and addressing the crowds on the future of Bridlington Hospital etc... Judging by the response so far this March promises to be a BIG-ONE Weather conditions will be Good!!! Bridlington Town Mayor in full regalia 80 bags of sweets for children & 4 boxes of crisps to hand out at end of march to prevent rubbish Scarborough NHS Healthcare Trust have been invited but as yet have not taken up the challenge ? Yet it is the reason we March because the Trust would like to remove the CMU Cardiac Monitoring Unit 6 beds to Scarborough? It is needed in Bridlington, this is a regeneration area and the Government say Hospitals should not be down graded in a regeneration area? Also they would like to downgrade Acute Medical Services to Day Care? |
