PETITION LEFT BRIDLINGTON 7.15am BOUND FOR No10, DOWNING STREET

After 6 weeks of campaigning the Petition finally was boxed with a total of 38,168 signatures

The petition is to object against the removal of the Cardiac Monitoring Unit & Acute Medical Services at Bridlington Hospital The Petition left Bridlington Station at 7.14am and was piped out of the station by a lone piper from the "Children of the Mist" Flamborough (Pipes & Drums) we thank them very much for the coverage. Filmed by Yorkshire Television and recorded by BBC Radio Humberside

Once our group arrive in London they will make there way across London to No10, Downing Street to hand over the Petition to Prime Minister Gordon Brown then it will be passed to the Health Minister Alan Johnson, once scrutinised we then hope the PM & MP will intervene and put a stop to the removal of services at Bridlington Hospital

The whole journey will be exclusively covered by the Bridlington Free Press who are travelling with the Petition from start to finish also along is the Mayor of Bridlington who will hand over the petition to Gordon Brown PM at 12.15pm a pre-arrange time.

The group will then travel across to the Houses of Parliament to talk with Greg Knight MP and talk with other MP's
