Defibrillators for Bridlington Town Centre; (Bridlington Community First Responders) Meeting 13th MAY2008 at 7.00pm

Mick Pilling Chairman of the above group has been in contact and had a meeting with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service ( Paul Stevens Response Network Manager )  recently to discuss having Defibrillators and Community First responders in Bridlington.

So I have arranged a meeting at the Bridlington Town Hall at 7.00pm on Tuesday, 13th MAY 2008 to get this up and running and bring together all the relevant people/departments who count.  Please arrive by 6.30pm for seating..........

The reason for arranging this meeting comes because in October 2008 we could lose the Cardiac Monitoring Unit & Acute Medical Services as the Scarborough NHS Trust would like to remove them to Scarborough, thus making Heart Attack patients travel 22+ miles by Ambulance to the nearest CMU either at Scarborough, York, Hull or Middlesborough.

We need to be ready for any such move or change in services and have the appropriate back up system in place, ideally Community 1st Responders these trained people SAVE LIVES! I have with the help of Paula; Mrs Paula King
